WHAT IS A SHRINKY DINK?
Each piece begins as a thin 8x10 inch sheet. Once the illustration is complete, it is baked in the oven. As it is heated, the sheet shrinks down to roughly 3.25x4 inches. During the process, the proportions remain the same. The result is a hard, thick piece of plastic with vivid colors and a velvety texture. No two piece are exactly alike.
I specialize in colored pencil illustrations on polystyrene plastic. Bold colors + clean lines.
I am inspired by the everyday items that evoke our memories. I work to strike a balance between young and old, modern and classic.
