1. LISTENING: Even if art isn’t your thing, 99% Invisible has something for everyone. “[It} is about all the thought that goes into the things we don’t think about — the unnoticed architecture and design that shape our world.” From their latest episode about color to their recent mini-series all about fashion, each episode is chock full of fun facts.
2. READING: I was initially introduced to Jedidiah Jenkins through Instagram. While he posts some great photos and his sing-a-long videos with Ruthie Lindsey are not to be missed, it was his writing that hooked me. He has such a clear relatable tone that somehow transcends the small space that is the caption text. When I heard he was writing a memoir, I knew it would be great and I was not disappointed.
3. FOLLOWING: CJ Hendry specializes in large scale hyperrealistic drawings. She is insanely talented and does things with colored pencils that will blow your mind. Her current series is inspired by Rorschach test-esque squish paintings, and will be released in April. I cannot wait to see the whole collection.
4. LOVING: If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have been fangirling on the Westminster Dog Show the last few days. It is impossible to watch without mentioning one of my all time favorite movies: Best in Show. Amazing cast, even better one-liners.
